Our 12-week online EKG certification program will prepare you for certification through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) as a Certified EKG Technician (CET) . You’ll learn medical terminology and disease processes and will become familiar with healthcare settings, how to explain procedures to patients, monitor blood pressure, position patients, apply Holter monitors and assist cardiologists with stress testing. This EKG Technician program is ideal for someone interested in an entry-level career in healthcare and is often used as the first step towards obtaining advanced certifications like Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy and Patient Care Technician. Upon completion of this program, students wishing to sit for the Certified EKG Technician exam will be required to complete a minimum of 10 EKGs on a live person.
